Malinovskyi Set to Miss Serie A Clash with Venice

Genoa CFC midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi has suffered an injury in training, the club has confirmed. The Ukrainian international is now set to miss the Serie A clash with Venice this weekend.

The 28-year-old sustained the injury during training on Thursday and has been ruled out for the next 10 days.

Genoa CFC said in a statement: "Ruslan Malinovskyi underwent medical tests today after suffering an injury in training yesterday. The tests revealed a muscle injury in his left thigh."

"The player will now begin his rehabilitation and is expected to be out for around 10 days.

The injury is a blow to Genoa CFC, who are currently bottom of the Serie A table.

Malinovskyi has been one of the club's best players this season, scoring four goals in 15 appearances.

He will now miss the Serie A clash with Venice on Sunday, as well as the Coppa Italia match against SPAL next week.

Genoa CFC will hope to have Malinovskyi back fit and available for their next Serie A match against Napoli on March 6.
